I've been designing and building websites for businesses around Southampton and the New Forest since 2010. Avent Marketing is me — there's no account manager between you and the person writing the code.
That matters more than it sounds. When you ring about a change, you speak to the person who built it. When something breaks at 8pm on a Friday, you're not waiting on a ticket queue. And when I quote you a price, it's the price.
I work across the whole job: the design, the build, the WooCommerce setup, the SEO, the Google Ads, and the custom plugins when the standard tools fall short. If I can't do something well — large-format print, vehicle wraps, signage — I use partners I've worked with for years and manage it for you.
I also didn't start in web, and I'm not only in web now. I own a chain of retail stores — real premises, real staff, real stock — so the ecommerce and EPOS work comes from running a shop, not reading about one. Before that I spent years turning around pubs and late-night venues, and years before that behind the decks as a club DJ, which is why the pub and restaurant work reads the way it does.
You won't be explaining your trade to me. In a fair few cases, it's been mine.

Cruise, airport and private day-tour transfers for a Southampton firm running since the mid-eighties. The website sits on a booking platform built from scratch: customers pick a transfer or a tour and are only offered vehicles that fit their passengers and luggage, the office confirms and takes payment through Stripe, invoices generate as PDFs, and every job reaches the driver's calendar with a full run sheet.

A Woolston white-goods retailer and Euronics partner. I took this one on after somebody else had built it — it looked fine and it was ranking nowhere. I revamped the homepage and reworked the design through the site to turn browsers into customers, then did a great deal of SEO behind it: structure, category pages, internal links, schema and sitemaps. When I took it on it placed nowhere for all twelve of its main search terms. Eleven of those twelve now sit on page one, four of them in the top three, and one at number one.
